The making of Ganesha
With just 2 days to go for Ganesha puja, patuapara in Kalighat is buzzing with activity. Artisans are fighting the odds to meet the deadlines. But frequent rains are giving them the jitters. The Ganesha idol was drying in the late afternoon sun. I liked the soft directional light.

Lost in thought . . .
Somewhere up in the air between Kolkata and Mumbai. A co-passenger spent the entire time looking out of the window, completely lost in thought, in the nearly empty Kolkata-Mumbai flight. She missed her breakfast too.
Shot with the Panasonic G1, aided greatly by the swivel screen. B&W conversion with the B&W converter in Paint.NET. I find that this converter does better a B&W conversion job than Nik Silver Efex Pro.
